November 12th is Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Diwali is a special holiday that originated in India, where it is celebrated nationally. Diwali has many meanings in many different religions, with each emphasizing the importance of connecting, celebrating, and making great memories with family & friends.
This year, South Poplar is celebrating Diwali on November 14th. On this day, uniforms are not required for any students that wish to wear special clothes in honour of Diwali.
